Administered orally while fasting, bromelain can be absorbed into the blood, altering the metabolism of prostanoids in a manner that favors the resolution of inflammation.
The consensus of medical opinion suggests that orally-administered bromelain exerts a salutary effect on recovery and healing in cases of inflammation, injuries and tissue traumas of various kinds, including post-operative problems.
Bromelain, taken with meals, acts as a protease, enhancing the release of short peptides and amino acids from food proteins.
BromeZyme 2400 contains twice the gdu’s per tablet as the BromeZyme formula.

Curcumin (Curcuma longa).........................1,200 mg
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)........................1,000 mg
Willow Bark (Salix alba) extract, standardized 
     to 11% salycin................................900 mg
Quercetin (a bioflavonoid).........................300 mg

*mcu/gm (‘milk clotting units’ per gram), a standard rating index of enzyme potency.
