"R-Lipoic Acid(RLA) is the naturally-occurring, pure form of the more commonly available alpha lipoic acid and may be 8-10 times more active. R-Dihydrolipoic aicd(R-DHLA) is the reduced form of RLA. RLA/R-DHLA function together as a powerful antioxidant pair with the ability to quench numerous types of dangeorus free radicals, as well as reduce oxidized vitamin C and E, glutathione and CoQ10 back to their active forms. The pair may provide more antioxidant proection than either alone. RLA/R-DHLA is neuroprotective, helps control blood sugar, increases ATP levels, chelates heavy metals, can reverse enzyme and DNA oxdative damage, and cross the blood/brain barrier. R-DHLA and Medium Chain Triglycerides may increase G.I. absorption, plasma levels and bioavailability of RLA. Delta tocotrienol works synergistically with RLA/R-DHLA and may be 40-60 times more potent as an antioxidant than Vitamin E, may lower triglyceride and cholesterol levels, reduce cardiovascular risk and reverse insulin resistence. It may also enhance arterial blood flow, reduce the risk of developing certain types of cancers, protect Low Density Lipotropins and the skin from oxidative damage.
